A Lot And Too Much is a social (media) awareness and empowerment campaign for Black women.  Black women have long been poorly characterized as if indifferent and overbearing.  We contend with widely accepted, stereotypical ideas and descriptions like "a lot", "too much", "too loud", "too difficult" and more, comparable to other women and people generally, and across time, places, and issues irrespectively. Through the lens of Black feminism or race, gender, and class education, this platforms calls attention to this particular kind of manipulation or "intersectional gaslighting" and projection. 

 

A Lot And Too Much is a counter; meaning, it is an educational, evidence-based reconceptualization and reclamation of the aforementioned words or characterizations. Ones that unjustly make Black women responsible for people's often uninformed, privileged and uninvited assessments, judgements, fragility, reactions, and overall uncomfortableness and more. 

 

A Lot And Too Much platform, instead, affords an about-face "Yes, I am" affirmation statement. One that (re)frames, (re)claims, and (re)builds the narratives as well as capacity and confidence for Black women. This is while advancing social education and redirecting attention to historically racist and sexist ideologies, intimidation, tropes, pejoratives, and low vibrational mentalities that often "disparagingly" drive and undergird the typecast and namesake of this campaign.
